Hair Loss
Hair loss occurs when drugs that treat cancer or radiation treatments affect normal cells that make hair grow. The hair loss with cancer treatment is not permanent and hair grows back once the therapy is completed. The amount of hair loss is dependent upon the cancer drug, the dose of chemotherapy/radiation and how it is administrated. With the treatment of radiation, only the hair that is in the area of the radiation will be affected by hair loss.
How to Survive Hair Loss
Starkles Australia showcases the largest selection of wigs, turbans, scarves, hats and fringes specifically designer for hair loss.
Specializing in high fashion designer brand wigs from the makers of Revlon, Noriko, TressAllure and Rene of Paris, Starkles can show you how to create a modern, fashionable look. Our wigs are so natural no one will be able to tell you are wearing one! Many of our wigs have an ultra fine mesh “monofilament” scalp that gives the appearance of your own natural skin tone. The single layer allows your skin tone to show through for the most natural look.
Turbans, Scarves, Hats & Fringes
If a wig isn’t for you, or you would like a more casual look perhaps a turban, scarf or hat is the answer. These inexpensive alternatives to wearing a wig will not only help you feel modern and fashionable but they will also allow you to create several different looks. You can wear a fringe under a turban to give the appearance of having hair underneath or even team the same turban with one of the many different scarves to create your own unique style. Starkles Australia also stock a huge range of hats that have been designed for hair loss.
